Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It seems like my students never have pencils to write with. 2000 pencils will last quite a long time and I never want my kids to say they couldn't do work because they didn't have a pencil. I also need a sharpener to sharpen all these pencils and we go through at least 2 a year. I am also asking for places to turn in work as well as pencil boxes to keep supplies (glue sticks, colored pencils, scissors) to be readily accessible when needed by table groups. Finally, I am asking for a second monitor to hook up to a laptop for more accessibility to our science curriculum. It makes it easier to maneuver back and forth when you can see everything in front of you. Our science curriculum is all online and I usually have 5 tabs open at once. It gets confusing when moving back and forth while projecting only what the students need to see on the Activboard.
