My Students

My school is an ethnically diverse Title I school in Georgia. Many of the students are receiving free lunch provided at school. Many of them live in nearby motels. I service students with special needs in a small group setting. Their family environment is very challenging for my students, and they are socially, economically deprived in many areas. They come to school expecting teachers to care, love, and provide for their needs.

Pear Deck is the add ons to my google slides and helps my students to answer assignments with proper understanding.

I will be able to provide interventions in the skills they are struggling to understand. I will be able to break down my lessons in a way they will understand and show success.

My Project

My special needs students learn when I break down the skill and teach them the way they understand it better. I give them enough opportunities to practice that skill after my direct instruction. Virtual learning interrupts my way of teaching and I have to be using special tools to make virtual learning more effective for my students.

Pear Deck connects my students to the lesson and they learn more when they are engaged.

Currently, I am using the free subscription and it will expire in a week or so. My students will miss completing the assignments without Pear Deck's interactive tools.

Pear Deck enables me to see their responses immediately and give them feedback. My students need help and they get it when they need it.
