This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Here at my school, we offer a lot of opportunities for our students to grow. From putting on plays to having art galleries to running races on the weekends, we try to do it all for our students.

The last three or so years, there has not been a physical education teacher for my school.

So I am trying to play catch up and give my students the best physical education learning atmosphere possible. I am trying to get the program back up and running, and to do so, I need some other equipment that I was not able to order. I started with no equipment. The first three months of school I had nothing, until I was able to order some through the school. Now, my students are succeeding and really finding their home in physical education. If we don't help the students of the future, who will?

My Project

My students have not had physical education in over three years. I am working on building back the physical education department in my school. Teaching the students all the necessary skills to succeed in life, whether that be emotionally, physically or mentally. Music not only brings out some of the students who would rather dance, it also brings life to the gym. As soon as music plays in the gym, almost every student lights up and starts dancing with each other and have huge smiles on their faces. I would LOVE it if you could help put and keep those smiles on their faces!!
