This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at our elementary school are an active bunch; my 6th grade class, specifically, never seems to stop moving, and these students crave more PE time every day. With the limited equipment we have, even after borrowing from other generous teachers, the variety of activities we get to do is limited.
This request will allow students to have equipment in their class every day.
If all the equipment is already taken, or if no one brought something from home, PE becomes stale. So, having dodgeballs, volleyballs, and soccer cones for ourselves will be a huge help.
The goal for this project is to increase the variety of activities the students can do during PE. My students did not have a permanent teacher for their entire fifth grade year, so PE was a free-for-all. With the help of this equipment, I can provide them with a structured PE time where they can be active, have fun, and learn new skills.
