Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Are we having P.E. today?" Students are always looking forward to days our class has P.E.

My students are amazing, energetic, and enthusiastic learners.

They look forward to all types of learning in various subjects in our classroom. Our school is in a low income area, but teachers do their best to try and meet each of our student's needs.

My Project

The requested physical education materials will be used to provide a quality instructional program that provides students with the skills and knowledge they need to establish and sustain physical activity as a key component of their lifestyle, as children and even throughout adulthood. Materials requested include rag balls, soccer, and basketballs. Students will learn how to properly throw and catch a ball when playing baseball, kick a ball when playing soccer, and manipulate a basketball in many ways while using proper form. Beanbags will be used to help with warm up activities. There will be enough equipment for students to share.

These materials will be used to provide high quality P.E.

instruction to all students in my classroom. P.E. contributes to every student's health and well being. I will provide opportunities for my students to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to lead a physically active lifestyle. Besides promoting an active lifestyle, it will also promote health, motor skills development and better cognitive performance in and outside the classroom.
