My Students

I teach in an area of Queens, NY that was hardest hit by the Coronavirus. The students and families are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. In this part of the city, many families struggle with health concerns, especially obesity and asthma.

Some have had trouble getting food during this time, and some have trouble obtaining general school supplies or clothing.

I want exercise to be a fun, engaging activity that our students look forward to daily! I want to support them in achieving health, strong bodies, while also providing ways to manage stress and anxiety.

My Project

To keep the gym a safe space during this crazy time, I would love an air purifier to add a layer of protection for students and teachers.

I want exercise to be a fun, engaging activity that our students look forward to daily whether in the classroom or at home!

I want to create small "exercise kits" for students to take home & keep at home for their use.

I want to support them in achieving healthy, strong bodies, while also providing ways to manage stress and anxiety during a difficult time.
