My Students

All of my students qualify as at risk. Our school is designed to support pregnant and parenting teens finish high school and be prepared to enter the workforce. These students have overcome so many roadblocks in their educational journey. While we do provide bussing, many of our students also work jobs so they must drive themselves to school so they can get to their jobs afterwards.

My Project

All of the students at CA have the opportunity to receive incentives or rewards for upholding our 5 pillar characteristics of our school's mission: Learning, Empowering, Contributing, Caring, & Community. Students have the opportunity to be rewarded every Friday for their weekly attendance and classwork, as well as once a month we hold an assembly to recognize individuals in front of the whole school. While our students often have all of their physical needs met, we like to get 'fun' gift cards for these students to still get to feel like kids.
