My Project

I absolutely love my students. They are curious, creative, and full of personality! Every day they walk into our classroom with big hearts and even bigger imaginations. Whether they’re sharing a funny story, asking thoughtful questions, or encouraging a classmate, they constantly remind me why I chose to become a teacher. They’re not just learners, they’re explorers, artists, problem solvers, and future leaders.

Graphic novels like InvestiGators and Katie the Catsitter are a perfect match for their energy and interests.

These books grab their attention, boost their confidence as readers, and help build essential literacy skills in a fun and accessible way. Many of my students are still developing their reading stamina, and graphic novels give them the motivation to stick with a book from beginning to end. They also spark great conversations and deepen their understanding of story elements, character development, and even humor!

These resources will help me create a reading environment that’s exciting, inclusive, and full of choice. With your support, I can put books in their hands that make them feel seen, inspired, and empowered to grow as readers. Thank you for helping me nurture a love of reading in every student!
