Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students can use the resources to make posters that showcase notable historical figures and events. Through the completion of these poster projects, students will be able to investigate, produce, and evaluate historical events. The resources needed are essential to finishing these undertakings. I'm asking for markers, glue sticks, pencils, pens, colorful paper, and white paper. My students will benefit from these resources as they work on developing their thinking maps and poster projects.

My goal is to equip students with the tools they need to be informed and constructive members of society by empowering them to be better citizens through the study of history and these poster projects.

About My Pupils

According to Paulo Freire, there can never be an impartial educational process. Sadly, most of my students have encountered this problem, and by the time they get to the seventh grade, they have lost interest in studying history. A lot of pupils believe and feel that history is uninteresting.

These students are Latino and live in an urban environment with few resources and opportunity.

These pupils attend a Title I middle school with more than 1200 students and little supplies for the classroom. Despite their motivation to learn, most pupils lack the necessary school resources to reach their full learning potential.
