My Students

My students are lively and amazing children who are on the Autism Spectrum. They will be learning remotely and need engaging materials to help them progress and achieve their speech and language goals throughout this unique school year.

I am a speech-language pathologist that provides services to students in kindergarten to second grade with moderate to severe Autism.

Many of my students are either non-verbal or minimally verbal. School is typically a challenge for them, but this year will be especially challenging. They are still learning to communicate their basic wants and needs through picture exchange, speech generating devices, or verbal phrases. Many of them are also learning to answer questions and follow directions to promote academic success while others are learning to label objects and actions or socially engage with others. My students need and deserve the best materials to help them achieve their goals. As a new therapist, I would love and greatly appreciate support in providing them quality materials that will keep them engaged and set a foundation for years to come.

My Project

The amazon laminator, laminating sheets, and ink will allow me to print and prepare visuals that my students need to expand their utterances and understand the materials.

The OSMO little genius starter kit will allow me to project my many physical books and materials to my students, as well as create interactive games and activities for them to enjoy while learning.

The eNinja book will allow me to discuss distance learning rules and structure in a fun, engaging way.

The construction paper will be used to complete crafts when distance learning becomes a little too much to handle as well as make materials look more exciting.
