My Project

PBIS, or Positive Behavior Interventions and Support, supports students and teachers with interventions for all types of behaviors, both positive and negative. Essentially, PBIS is meant to prevent negative behaviors by focusing on rewarding positive behavior.

One of our positive interventions is our school's PBIS PRIDE Club.

Students who are selected for PRIDE club have consistently demonstrated five character virtues - Positive Attitude, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence. Every marking period, the PBIS team hosts an event to honor students who have gone above and beyond in their classrooms and throughout the school.

Our first event for next year will be Pancakes with Principals, which is exactly what it sounds like. This project will give us the equipment to use for several years, such as the electric griddles, waffle makers, mixing bowls, and utensils. Every time this event has been held in the past, teachers have had to bring theirs in from home. Pancakes with Principals is one of the kids' favorite events, and this project ensures that it can be held for many years to come!
