This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Looking for a way to share our presentations and projects with our student families! With the age of technology being what it is, teachers are now responsible for updating a class webpage every day to communicate with parents. We are seeking a camcorder to share projects and presentations!

I teach 60 students math and science this year in a Title One school.

Every day I update our class webpage with grades, assignments, due dates, and pictures. My students' parents are able to keep tabs on what their children are doing by checking this information on their smart phones or computers at home. This is a great way to keep parents involved and update to their children's progress.

My Project

We are requesting a digital camcorder to video tape student presentations and projects and post them to our webpage. This will give parents an opportunity to see first hand how the projects we do get presented and how their student's work compares to that of the other children in the class. Beacuse so many parents work, they have little to no time to come into the classroom and watch as we do projects and presentations. This would give them a chance to be part of our audience!

Please consider our math/science class for a donation of a digital camcorder to help us involve our families with what we do in the classroom.

I feel that being able to communicate these aspects of our class will give parents a better understanding of what we do and help their children be more successful students.
