My Students

I teach Social Studies and Science in a small rural district in southwest Mississippi. My 8th grade students mostly come from low-income homes where parents struggle to make ends meet in these tough economic times. School supplies are often not a high priority.

My students need to be able to print out their notes, their worksheets, and their projects.

We don't have enough textbooks for every child to take one home so I have to provide them with the information they need to study. This takes a tremendous amount of plain white copy paper. The parents in my district help all they can but it simply isn't enough most of the time.

My Project

Therefore I look to you, Dear Donor, for help in getting my students what they need. It is through your generosity that this next generation of America's movers, shakers, and playmakers get the education they need to function in today's world. Something as simple as a printed set of class notes can make all the difference in the world. For this, we need copy paper.

I am asking for five boxes of copy paper for my classroom.

This will supply my students with the necessary materials to successfully master their 8th grade studies. Thank you in advance for your consideration of my request.
