This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are awesome. They come to school ready to learn despite the baggage most bring with them from home. I teach in a low-income Title I school district where 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite the daily struggles many of my students face, they come into my class knowing they can set their baggage aside for a while and just be a regular kid in fifth grade without all of the anxiety that comes from their everyday lives.
My Project
This copy paper will make all the difference in the learning of my students. Right now, my building is out of copy paper and we are unable to purchase any more at this time. Copy paper is a basic necessity to deliver proper instruction as well as to accommodate, adapt, and supplement classroom instruction. Please consider supporting the project so that my student will have the materials they need in order to be successful. The test prep push is quickly approaching and without paper I can’t possibly properly prepare my students for these difficult assessments. Furthermore, my students will miss out on the fun of “Test Blitz Week.”
