This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very special first graders in a high need area of the Bronx. Each student is unique in his or her own way and deserve to have the best educational experience possible! Most of my students receive free or reduce-price lunch and come to school every day eager to learn. Unfortunately, my classroom does not always have the supplies we need. Every donation makes a difference in my students' lives. I look forward to creating projects that will make our classroom a joyful learning environment. Thank you!

My Project

Anchor charts are a staple of the classroom. Students need visuals in order to enhance their learning. Chart paper allows us to brighten up the classroom with educational ideas. For example: when to use a capital letter or a list of STORY elements! Sticky chart paper is extremely convenient and is utilized all throughout the day. When the students have an opportunity to see a math word problem charted out in a clear, succinct step-by-step way, they are more likely to understand the math. Chart paper is needed for every subject throughout the day and we are currently out of stock.

I am also requesting copy paper which we use every day for everything!

We use copy paper for homework packets every week as well as independent practice worksheets in math and reading. We also use copy paper for special art projects throughout the year. Your generous donation of paper will be appreciated by my students every day! Thank you so much!
