Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year I have an amazing group of 45 - 5th graders. This is our school's third year of departmentalizing, so I have the privilege of teaching two classes of 22-23 eager-to-learn students. Since they are 5th graders, this is a big year for them because they will leave my school and start new beginnings in their middle school of their choice. So it is my job to prepare them the best I can for this transition by providing them with as many tools, resources, and strategies I can to make this transition easy for them this paper will help them. Not only is my school a Title 1 school, but many of the students' parents are immigrants and have limited resources and funds.
