Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be making cultural masks by combining 2 cultures of their choosing into one mask. Students will learn how to paper mache, add clay to their masks as well as creating unique details onto their masks. The goal for this assignment is for students to learn about cultures all around the world as well as what it means to create a sculptural mixed media project.

Students will be drawing from life by using watercolor.

Drawing from life is a foundational art skill every student must learn. Watercolor is also the most important type of wet medium students should learn.
