My Students

My students are kind, generous, thoughtful, and inquisitive. They come to school to learn and explore new ideas. They are determined to find an experience. They are beginning to understand the wonderful experience a good education can offer!

I teach in a Title I school where 100% of the school receives free lunch.

My students live in a high poverty area. Access to literacy and supplies are key to their success, and such access begins and ends within our school walls. There are many things they will never be able to experience in real life that, with your help, I can offer. Please help me expose them to as many experiences as possible!

My Project

With these new books added to our limited COVID library, my students will have a variety of books to choose from to develop a love of reading and explore new characters and places, while expanding their knowledge at their own reading levels. The books in hand will offer students a chance to delve into the land of Frog & Toad, Henry & Mudge and many more beloved characters and experiences all while practicing word attack skills, fluency, and building comprehension. I would also like to teach my students the treasure of a paperback book.
