My Project

I teach 23 full of energy, vibrant, creative, and wonderful kindergarten students. We love to create bright and beautiful art. Our classroom is given black and white paper and watercolors. We would love some colorful paper to continue to grow and express our inner artists! We love to cut, glue, collage, craft, and mount our original art on background paper. We would use the paper for all different projects throughout the year!

Why is art important in kindergarten?

Art is important for children, especially during their early development. Research shows that art activities develop brain capacity in early childhood. Art engages children's senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional, and multisensory skills.
