My Students

My students come to school ready to learn every day! At the end of the year my students need to grow 1.5 years on their reading and math tests. My biggest challenge of getting them there is not having enough supplies for all of my students to actively participate in class.

My students are brilliant little kids.

They are smarter than they know and it is my goal to get them to see that this year. My students go to school on a Native American Reservation and they are very secluded from the world. We have a four day school week so it is very important that we work hard during our school week to get all of our learning done. My students are constantly changing and growing and hungry for learning.

My Project

My students need paper, white boards, gluesticks, scissors and markers to do our daily learning. Our school has a shortage on computer paper and we really need this paper to make sure that we have homework to take home and skills to practice in class. We need the markers, scissors, and glue so that we can be creative with our learning and be able to do projects. We will be using the white boards every day in math class to solve our problems and learn our new math skills.

These materials will make a difference in my classroom because we will have enough scissors, paper, glue and markers so that every student can actively participate and learn in our class.

They will be able to share their ideas and their knowledge through projects.
