This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students are WONDERFUL, I am in awe of their resilience, their contagious smiles, their willingness to show up and try even when they don't know how to do it, their sense of humor, their kind hearts and their love of life.

Their lives are hard and demanding, their neighborhood unforgiving and at times dangerous, but despite it all, they show up everyday ready to learn and smiling, and telling you that they love you and that they always look forward to whatever day of the week they have you so that they can see you and make art.

My Project

Painting is amazing; what a great way to start the new year and make new friends by showing what you're made of!

The pencils are to draw our pictures all year long, the paint cakes are to make the most brilliantly colorful pictures, and the paper is where we'll put all of our ideas about what we want to learn in art this year!!!

These paint cakes will last us all year and create the most vivid pictures, they are by far the best out there!!!

I'm so excited to have new materials for this new and exciting new year!
