My Project

Everyone loves to paint. To create is to be free, one with the world. However, my students have issues. Not only do they come from low-income homes, but they all have different learning abilities. Some have limited control over their own bodies and others have some mental limitations, but they all want to belong and be the same as everyone and be included in all things wonderful.

One big thing we humans all have in common is we all want to create, make beautiful things of our own creation.

Painting real works of art. My kids just need the proper tools to make that happen. They are always smiling and trying but they have some limitations. Using regular art tools like paint brushes can be a real challenge. Sometimes the challenge is too great.

The beauty they could with a bit of help would be beyond amazing! We strive to create an atmosphere where children with disabilities can explore their artistic potential and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of painting. We have very limited resources, but our kids keep trying and using what we have. We just need to do a little better.
