Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

There are so many things I love about my students. They are so special to me because they all have their own personalities. We are planning a paint night for our parents and students and so are requesting paint, easels, and supplies. We are hoping to get our parents more involved in their child's education. Our Beta Club will host the event. I feel that if we bring the parents in to paint with their child, it will give them a chance to bond in the school setting. So often I hear my students saying they wish their parents were at school. This will also give me and other teachers a chance to build relationships with parents and students.
