My Students

At the end of the rainbow, children dream of the land filled with wonderful creatures and friends. With the budget cuts, art materials are the first to go. I would like to provide students with fun art supplies to create their rainbow dreams on the paper.

I have a diverse group of students with seven different ethnic background.

More that half of the students are English learners. Due to their limited language skills to communicate, they love to express what they have learned through drawings and paintings. When art center opens up, I can see sparkles in their excited eyes. Although we are located in the moderate income neighbor, many of my students come from low income families. More than 70%of the students are on free meal tickets everyday for breakfast and lunch.

My Project

With your donations of paints and craft materials, student will illustrate their first story books. Their rainbow dream story will come to life when they paint their magical castle with the glitter paints. The wild creatures they have created will have googly eyes that roar in the jungle. Oh the enthusiasm and creative art works are immeasurable! All the excitements and sharing will stir up even the most timid student.

If you could see the bright sparkle in a child's eyes when he given a paint and a brush, you can expect a masterpiece.
