My Students

My students are an amazing group of hard-working kids. They love to learn and are highly creative.

As their teacher, I feel I am responsible for not just their academics, but for their emotional well-being also.

Recent events concerning COVID have created additional stress for students at school.

Painting is a wonderful outlet for children to express their feelings and help calm their anxieties.

My Project

Not all learning can be summed up in the base curriculum. Students also need outlets to express their feelings and creativity. Art of any kind is beneficial to the emotional well-being of an individual, and painting allows students to learn how colors and lines function together to express and create emotions. The soothing action of creating art helps students lower stress and relieve anxieties. Some students who are not gifted academically, find that they too can shine through their artistic talents. Art helps to teach and nurture the whole child.
