Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this proposal, I am requesting really nice watercolor sets. We use watercolor paint in numerous projects and activities. In my health classes, we do a lot of journaling, and art therapy projects and watercolor is soothing, pretty, and fun to use. Students learn that art making, journaling, and crafting are calming experiences and create joy.

Kiddos use the watercolor to express emotions, coloring pages to write on, and even use it for the words, text work, and free art.

In art classes, artists use watercolor for many paint needs, from watercolor landscapes, still life, process art, and especially Neurographic Art, which is a healing art. My students feel really good when I can present them with high quality supplies and their self worth increases with this generosity you allow for.
