Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year is set to be an unprecedented year with my fabulous students. My children are full of love and energy wrapped up in beautiful pint-sized packages. They are from various cultures and backgrounds, who enter the world of learning each day with a strong sense of community and respect for one another. My students range from 6-9 years old who are exceptionally inquisitive, physical, and multi-sensory learners.

Our class enjoys the process of hands-on interactive remote activities as it provides them with an opportunity to engage in new learning, question themselves, each other, and the cyber world around them.

This new learning environment is one that is both familiar and unfamiliar all at once, and I strive every day to provide them with a sense of normalcy as we work through this pandemic.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for classroom and distance learning. Students and many families are not able to leave their homes due to the COVID in New York and some have chosen to keep their children at home. My students needs a variety of supplies to ensure each student is given an equal beginning to their school year and making sure each student has access to what they need to work from home or while in the classroom.

My classroom is composed of beautifully diverse faces who deserve to see similar qualities and characteristics in their daily curriculum.

I am continuing to build a library that is representative of who they are and where they come from. Please join me in this effort so that I may add these selections to my library to provide a more enriched and conscious profile of books for students to select from.
