My Students

The students in my class this year are coming in person to school and have adjusted to all the changes without question or complaints. We are a Title 1 school in a low income community. These students understand the need for social distancing and masks and despite the fact that they miss group work, they do their best to continue to learn and enjoy school. They love to read, write, do math and also have a love for the arts whether it be drama, singing, dance or art. They love to be creative and are learning social emotional skills during class to aid them in their lives, lessons we hope that they will remember as they continue in their education.

My Project

The students are doing their best to make it to school every day and staying safe during these COVID times. These paint kits will give them an opportunity to embark on an art activity similar to if we were going to a field trip to a paint studio.

I would like to give them the opportunity to learn how to follow steps of creating a painting creation which can aid them with sequence as well as give them a real life example of how-to writing.

Their finished projects will be beautiful and show them that they are capable of being true artists and they will be able to take them home to show their family members and display with pride their own work!
