Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. The school has many ENL students , as well as students with special needs. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that will make those challenges easier.

My students are creative and kind leaders in our school and in our community.

They come to school with such excitement to learn. Therefore the need for materials are crucial to their success as lifelong learners.

My Project

In June our school gave my class an art easel. The problem is I don't have the necessary supplies to put it into action. The easel paper and water color paper will give my students the canvas to learn. The paint, aprons and splash mat will provide the tools necessary to complete a project. Projects will include literacy by painting letters, words and sentences with a picture to match. Also the center will be used during math to paint numbers and to illustrate addition problems. The materials you help provide will be used for learning and creating during free choice time. This paint and learn center will give my students the tools to be successful lifelong learners.
