My Project

My fourth-grade class is filled with enthusiastic readers, and many of them are particularly excited about the Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey. These books have captured the attention and imagination of my students, providing a fun and engaging way to foster a love for reading. With their witty humor, fast-paced action, and lovable characters, Dog Man encourages reluctant readers to dive into books while also challenging more advanced readers. Having the first 13 books in the series would ensure that our students can continue exploring the adventures of Dog Man, while also helping them build their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in an enjoyable and relatable way.

I am seeking a grant to purchase the Dog Man series of books 1 through 13 for our classroom library.

With these books, my students will have access to a series that not only captures their interest but also strengthens their reading abilities. Whether it’s for independent reading time, group activities, or even as a class read-aloud, Dog Man will provide the perfect resource for making reading a fun and exciting experience. These books will not only promote literacy but also create a shared sense of excitement around reading, building confidence and sparking imaginations in these eager young readers.
