Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders are eager to become global citizens and learn about the world around them. These thoughtful, curious, inquisitive young scholars and scientists are hungry for learning. They enjoy creative brain breaks, challenging real-world math problems, and critical thinking. Above all, they value being kind and being fair. I have never been prouder of a group of students.

We are a Title I public school in eastern Las Vegas full of kind, thoughtful, inquisitive young learners.

Our inclusion classroom welcomes a plethora of different types of learners and embraces all.

My Project

I am requesting materials to create classroom transformations in order to give my students real world experiences and peak their natural curiosity. I am requesting stethoscopes, mammal x-rays, and magnifying glasses for a classroom transformation focused on the human body, text features surgery, and ecosystems. I am also requesting flashlights for a crime scene investigation as an introduction to forensic science.

By transforming our third grade classroom into a crime scene or surgical wing, my students will experience unforgettable learning experiences.

They'll be so immersed in "fun" that they won't realize all the academic cross-curricular activities that integrate reading, writing, math, science, and social studies lessons for the day.
