My Project

Notebooks are essential tools for student learning. They provide a dedicated space for note-taking, practice, reflection, and creativity. Unlike digital devices, which can be distracting or inaccessible for some students, notebooks promote focus and hands-on engagement, helping students retain information and develop critical thinking skills.

The spiral notebooks will benefit our classroom by ensuring that every student has equal access to learning materials, regardless of their financial situation.

Notebooks will be used for various activities, such as journaling, brainstorming, organizing thoughts, and practicing skills in math, science, and language arts. They will also help students build organizational habits that they can carry into future academic and personal pursuits.

Many of our students come from families who face financial hardships and cannot afford basic school supplies. Without notebooks, students often struggle to keep their work organized, which can hinder their learning progress. This grant would provide the resources needed to eliminate this barrier, ensuring all students have the tools they need to succeed.

While digital tools have their place in education, physical notebooks encourage active learning through writing, which research shows improves memory retention and comprehension. They also reduce screen fatigue, help students focus without distractions, and ensure equitable access for students who may not have reliable internet or personal devices at home.
