My Project

I would love to introduce my students to yoga. In order to do so, I will need a class set of yoga mats so we can practice yoga. The specific yoga mats I am requesting have 16 different poses on them so students can learn the names of different yoga poses, as well as see a picture of how to properly perform each pose! I have plans to teach yoga and/or follow along with some awesome BeachBody and YouTube Yoga routines. Students can also use the mats to create their own original yoga sequences, too!

We are seeing a significant increase in stress, anxiety, and anger amongst middle school children and would like to help them cope with this in a positive way.

Yoga not only provides physical benefits by increasing the students' strength and flexibility, but can also help them with their mental and emotional health as well!
