My Students

We have a super diverse group of learners here at JT Moore Middle School. Our kids have really stepped up to the plate and have embraced virtual school by making the best of it during these hard times. Each virtual class has taken on their own personality -- each in their own goofy way! I have a class that loves to sing random songs with me and I have a class that all seem to bounce throughout the lesson!

My Project

As we learn about ecosystems, we will learn about the interaction of organisms through the food web. Students will learn how energy is passed from organism to organism through food. This hands on experience is usually a lot of fun in classroom. However, due to Covid, I want to provide this experience for them from home! We will have a supply pick up day where parents can come and get the supplies for their students to participate in this lab from home. Being able to do this lab is essential to their learning and understanding of the food web, as well as energy transfer through an ecosystem.
