Help Ms. B.

I am a first year, second grade teacher at a Title I school. I have an overhead that was given to me by the school. It is in working condition but it is rather large. Due to the set up and furniture in my classroom I am unable to use the overhead projector. I would like to have an overhead projector cart. This cart would be on wheels so that it will be easily accessible to myself and my students. I will also be able to keep all of the materials that I need with the overhead conveniently on the cart. Currently I am unable to use the overhead projector. Many of my students are performing below grade level in math and language arts. The overhead projector is very useful in teaching many different subjects and I consider it to be an asset to my classroom. I am unable to use mine because I do not have a cart. I feel that if I had a cart for the overhead projector that it would be very beneficial to my students. We can work through problems and stories together in a way that we cannot on a chalkboard. This would a time saver and would greatly benefit all of my students, especially those who are visual learners. Without this cart I will not be able to use my overhead projector and I feel that I could more effectively and efficiently teach my students if I could use my overhead projector.
