My Students

I teach kindergarten students in a Title I school in Jamaica Queens. Getting them interested in school can be tough, especially against the high demands of technology. One of their favorite activities is centers. They work hard throughout the day to earn center time. The students love working together in groups to complete activities. They are intrigued by technology and enjoy using the smart board we have in the classroom. A center with engaging technology would most definitely spike their interest in school!

My Project

My students enjoy using technology throughout the day. They look forward to using the tablet center. With this device, students will have the chance to use the tablet in a unique fashion. This Osmo gives my students the chance to have a hands-on approach to technology. Students will be able to maneuver pieces on the table while engaging with the technology in front of them. Additionally, this center will promote collaboration among the students. Students will have the opportunity to work together to solve problems using their tablets while having fun at the same time!
