My Project

Eighth graders need a high-interest book to engage them and help motivate them to want to read.

The Outsiders is a classic coming-of-age novel that has engaged readers for generations.

This is a beautiful and heartbreaking story of 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis and his choices between right and wrong. The book follows two rival groups who are divided by their socioeconomic status.

With an engaging book, students will be motivated to work on reading comprehension strategies, have class discussions, and study vocabulary and grammar concepts. The Outsiders is the perfect book for our eighth grade classes!
