My children are an amazing group of preschoolers who love to investigate and explore the world around them. They are also very eager to learn and very hands-on in their approaches to learning. We have both small and individual activities available each day and are play based.
Many of the children in my classroom come from low income families who's families are more focused on how to meet their day-to-day needs then those of investigation and exploration with their children.
My Project
The children in our classroom would greatly benefit from these additions to our outdoor learning environment. Outdoor exploration is very important for children. It creates opportunities for critical thinking, increases science literacy and helps build the next generation of innovators.
Many children in our classroom have very limited opportunities to explore the world around them.
They also have limited resources to use to explore.
Giving children the opportunity to feed their curiosity is important for their development and well being. These materials will allow hands on exploration in a fun and interactive way.
