Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help us create a comfortable and functional outdoor learning space for our adult special education students! A new table and chair set will provide a welcoming environment for students to enjoy meals, socialize, and participate in hands-on learning experiences.

Our adult special education transition program supports young adults as they develop independence, job skills, and community engagement.

Many of our students are working on life skills, employment readiness, and social interactions. Having an inviting outdoor space will allow them to practice these skills in a relaxed setting. We are seeking funding for an outdoor table and chair set to enhance our learning environment. Our students benefit from fresh air and social interaction, and this addition will provide a comfortable space for group activities, meals, and work breaks. The outdoor setup will also support our coffee shop project, where students learn customer service, money management, and teamwork.
