Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students love our indoor dramatic play area—it helps them build communication skills, supports their social-emotional development, and enhances their learning experience. Now, I want to bring that same magic outdoors!

Our playground is shared by four classrooms: my TK class, two Kindergarten classes, and our SDC Transitional Kinder–3rd Grade class.

An outdoor playhouse would give all of these students—ages 3 to 7—a dedicated space for imaginative and cooperative play.

Outdoor play isn’t just fun; it’s essential. It fosters creativity, strengthens social skills, and supports physical and mental well-being. By adding a playhouse, we can create an enriching environment that encourages exploration, storytelling, and collaboration—all while enjoying fresh air and movement.

Let’s make our playground an extension of our classroom! Your support will help transform our outdoor space into a place where learning and play go hand in hand. Thank you for investing in our students and their growth!
