Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

With the CDC once again recommending as much fresh air as possible for students and educators, outdoor classrooms can be an easy and cheaper way to offer better air quality. Students are often calmer and better able to focus when learning in nature, and teachers have reported better behavior and social interactions with fewer disciplinary issues.

Picnic tables and chairs will allow for whole and small group activities.

The big whiteboard will allow the teacher and students to present information effectively. For children with special educational needs, the classroom can bring with it added stress and ingrained feelings of academic or social difference. One of the many brilliant things about outdoor learning is that it gives more scope for inclusive activities and an overall mindset.
