Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year I am teaching a wonderful group of Expanded Transitional Kindergarten students who are ready and eager to learn.

Every morning my students walk into class with lots of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement for whatever the day may bring.

My Project

Young learners need many opportunities to express themselves creatively and work on improving their hand-eye coordination.

I provide students in my classroom with a developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes 120 minutes of outdoor exploration.

During this time they self-select areas of high interest. However, equipment in each center must be updated and rotated to ensure full engagement. Our class is in need of a new Painting Center as well as a Beanbag Toss Center. This outdoor equipment will provide many years of exploration and creative expression that all students need at this age.
