My Students

My school services a high poverty, title-one area. Many of my students are special needs students that strive for the best. My students' minds and hearts grow each day as they enter the building ready to achieve their dreams.

Compassionate, thoughtful, and hard workers attend my sessions daily and feel confident and proud with the strong students they are becoming.

Many of my young students face both personal and academic challenges. Students with learning disabilities, homeless, hungry, enter our building everyday with an eagerness to learn and gain new experiences. My goal is to build on their energy, foster their determination and help them achieve their dreams in a safe, loving, welcoming environment.

My Project

A wipe off wall, instead of an old green chalkboard we can barley write on... Yes! My students would thrive as they worked through math problems and reading strategies on a writable wall. Their work can be displayed with multi-colored dry-erase markers. Learning in groups will be ease and interactive. Flexible seating will aid students that need a choice to stay focused. Every bin will be used to organize our library so students can easily find their instructional level. The laminator will help persevere students work and anchor charts.

By donating to my project you will not ONLY save a tired old classroom in desperate need of a makeover and the materials to foster a strong learning environment, you will improve my students attention and focus and ultimately improve their academic achievement.

Every bin, flexible seat, and wipe-able product on the list will help organize and structure my students learning activities. Giving students an organized classroom environment will build life-long learners.
