My Students

You remember the 1950's, 60's and 70's?!? Well, our students don't and shouldn't have to, but with our archaic microscopes they seem to be stuck in another era. Please help our students investigate the fascinating world of biology through the lenses of modern microscopes.

Our students are brilliant!

Despite what the media wants the world to believe about young people who come from urban, under-resourced cities, our students break stereotypes through active scientific inquiry in the context of project based learning. They overcome extreme circumstances in order to participate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program. Help them pursue their dreams of becoming biomedical engineers, pediatricians, forensic scientist, nutritionists and environmental consultants through funding modern microscopes.

My Project

At the moment, "technology" (archaic microscopes) is actually hindering our students' learning... investigating the "unseen" world should be fun, not frustrating. Students will be able to see mitosis and meiosis before their very eyes! They will use this knowledge to think explore real world issues such as cancer, genetic disorders and bio-ethics.

Using modern microscopes will prepare our students for opportunities beyond the classroom with local Bio-Medical organizations.

Our students need exposure to modern scientific equipment that will allow them to fully compete in an ever advancing scientific world.
