Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the upcoming school year we are so excited to be participating in entirely in-person learning; something that has been a struggle since the start of the pandemic. Our classroom consists of a combination of general and special education students learning together in a collaborative teaching environment. Due to the variety of challenges our students face as a result of their disability, the need for color coding, and visuals are even more important than in a typical 5th grade classroom. This color printer will give us the opportunity to provide important resources, assignments and visuals in color to all of our students, but as a means of supporting especially our students with disabilities. In addition, this printer will allow me the capability to scan and email documents to my students' to support the various learning styles presented by each student. Finally, I want my students to be able to print and publish their own written work as well as illustrations to proudly display their hard work on our monthly bulletin board.

I would like this printer to give my students a more engaging and enriching learning experience by giving them the gift of color!
