Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For three years now our Preschool Community has embarked on a journey to provide our Preschoolers with Healthier food options during their time at home.

We call it the "WEEKEND FOOD BAG PROGRAM" and it started because we noticed that many of our students were coming to school very hungry on Mondays.

Many of the families within our school community are in temporary / transitional housing programs so cooking is not always an option. We decided to create this program to ensure our little ones have meals to close a gap and sustain them during the times they are not in our care. We wanted to make sure they have food to eat that is quick, filling and easy to prepare.

The Starkist tuna on the go pouches, the Chef Boy R Dee variety heat and eat bowls, and the variety of snacks will help us fill this void and support our families through these hard times.

Your support in keeping our important project afloat will help guarantee that we can continue to supply our preschoolers with these meals on a weekly basis. Food is essential and "No child should ever be hungry!"
