Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to create a calm, cool, and relaxing class library for my students to be in. I am an AIS Reading teacher, so I would love to have an engaging and inviting class library for my struggling readers. But, I need your help to make this vision happen in my classroom.

My middle school students love to come to the carpet to read independently but I do not have a cozy rug for them to sit on.

They have to sit on an older, boring gray carpet. So, I would like to add a modern soft rug to the library and reading area.

I believe a bright and colorful library will inspire students to come to the space to relax and read. The bins will also help me organize my library so the kids can easily find books they will be interested in reading. The best way to become a better reader is to read every day. For some of my students, my classroom is the only opportunity they get to read in a quiet and restful setting. Please help me make this calm and relaxing library for my students.
