A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The students at my school are diverse learners in many ways, and they attend a Title I school in inner-city, where free-and-reduced lunch and breakfast are offered to a majority of students.
My students are English learners, including newcomers, struggling learners and students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
The young scholars live in a high-poverty area and come from disadvantaged circumstances, but they do not let that stand in their way. My students love learning new things every day in school, and they are fascinated by interactive learning that spark their creativity and imagination.
My Project
In this project, I'm requesting Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift cards for digital resources that help my English Learners engage in the ready-made lessons and activities in Social Studies about upcoming elections, voting rights, democracy, legislature, and more.
With these TPT gift cards, students are able to access more great resources outside of the district curriculum, such as read aloud ebooks and academic activities, to develop students knowledge and critical thinking in civics for both distance learning and in-person learning.
With the additional resources from TPT, my students will learn more about history, events, and communities around the world. My students can reflect on how the learning materials can relate to them, which opens up valuable student-lead discussions.
