My Students

I teach third grade math and science at a Pre-K through 5th grade school in North Miami Beach. Most of my students are high-poverty and have little access to technology at home.

My students are always excited to use technology in the classroom and when we do center activities, they rush for the computers to explore online math resources.

For most of our students, Internet access and the use of computers are a luxury that they do not have at home. After Hurricane Irma, the financial situation for most of our students became even worse and they are still facing the challenges of coming to school with basic supplies.

My Project

Because of constant wear and tear, the existing headphones I have in my classroom are either broken or damaged. We also do not have enough computers for our learning centers and students often have to share a pair of headphones by taking turns using them. We also need a printer and paper for our classroom, so that our students can print their work and results from their hard work.

Your donation will truly make a difference as our math classroom will have the technology needed to enhance learning.

I will no longer have to turn down an enthusiastic student who wants to print their work, because there is no printer or paper to print on.
