Our Technology Needs Protection and a Home

My students need cases and protective guards for the iPads that were gifted to my classroom. I am establishing a station based learning environment and the charging station will allow me to utilize this technology.

My Students

My students come from a mixed socioeconomic background. They usually start the year explaining to me how social studies is their least favorite class in school. However, I then explain to them that I want to teach them social studies in a way they have never been taught before and their interest is sparked. Then it is up to me to deliver!

My students are creative minded, active learners who are often times misunderstood.

My Project

I am in the process of transforming my classroom and my teaching style into a station based student centered learning environment. When I explained my vision of my classroom, I was gifted six iPads and six laptops. However, I need covers for these iPads and a charging station that can ensure the iPads are well maintained and cared after so students can use them for years to come.

Developing a 21st Century learner requires a 21st Century approach.

My students do not have access to the technology that many of our young people are learning with across the country. I believe by providing this opportunity for learning, it is helping establish them in our ever changing society.

I have requested the six very protective iPad cases to ensure that students will be able to maintain these devices and protect them so they can be used for years. I believe that the protective guards will also help protect them against accidental drops. The charging stations for the iPads will allow me to keep them organized in the "technology station" of my classroom. The additional cords are necessary for the charging stations as the ones provided do not fit the devices that I have.
